Digital Vikings 2025

Digital Vikings Awards is an international competition for indie game developers and publishers from the Baltic region, showcasing the best upcoming and released games.

The winners will be announced during an on-site event - DevGAMM Gdańsk 2025 on February 27-28th, 2025.

NOMINEES

The most important category, judges will be taking into consideration uniqueness of gameplay, art style, overall game reception from the critics and players, and strength of influence on the indie scene.

Award for the game with the biggest potential to become the top trending game. Judges take a look at general hype, potential to influence indie scene, and the game idea originality.

Upcoming games with the most visually appealing and unique art style, blending nicely with gameplay and an outstanding level of detail and overall polish have the biggest chance in this category.

Games which shine in terms of game design novelty, offering addicting gameplay, a fresh new take on well known genres, and have a potential to influence indie scene and become potential hits.

in the gaming industry since forever, though at first, it was a rather informal relationship. Adventure Zone website editor and CD Action magazine contributor. Working as a PR Specialist at CD Projekt RED studio for several years, being responsible for The Witcher series and Cyberpunk 2077. Now managing her own PR company called PR Outreach, helping indie developers spread the word about their awesome games.

Theo Nogueira

Audio Director & Composer

Brazilian-born composer and sound designer, Theo has found his home in Norway and currently works as the Audio Director and Composer at Snowcastle Games and Snowcastle Audiolabs. Music has been an inseparable part of his life since the age of 8 and his journey took him from classical training to orchestrating and collaborating with choirs for over a decade to working with Audio for games over the past 10 years.

Unreal developer with over 7 years of experience in gamedev. Worked on games like Hello Engineer and Duckside. I love good code and indie games.

Narrative Designer at Fat Snail Games

I had my start writing for gamedev media, but now I am working on a game. I am a huge fan of videogames that try to tell stories in a way that makes the player engage with the mechanics, and will be looking out for such narrative focused games in this contest.
